Get a head start in the healthcare field as a phlebotomist.

Hands-on training includes blood-drawing procedures such as basic venipuncture techniques, butterfly techniques, heel puncture, and capillary puncture.

What you’ll be learning:

  • Basic anatomy and physiology
  • Blood and cell composition
  • Blood sampling procedures
  • Laboratory safety

What to expect after graduation:

After course completion, graduates are prepared to take the state test to become a certified phlebotomist. They can expect to find employment in a clinical lab, hospital, doctor’s office, or any facility where blood samples are taken and analyzed.

Eligibility Requirements

Photo ID

Authorization to work in the U.S.
(Social Security, birth certificate, work visa, or green card)

High School diploma or GED required

Proof of negative tuberculosis test within the last year

Pass a criminal background check

Provide acceptable evidence for required vaccinations
